2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Hostingwerk, a service of Feyer Media GmbH, Eibenweg 42, D-42111 Wuppertal, Germany. The hosting provider processes technical connection data sent by your browser. This may include your IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser type and operating system.
We process this data to provide the website securely and reliably, prevent attacks and investigate technical errors. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the security and availability of the website. According to the provider, server log files are deleted after 7 days.
The hosting provider must be contractually engaged as a processor where required. More information is available in the Hostingwerk privacy policy.
3. Contact form and enquiries
When you contact us through the form or by email, we process your name, email address, message and, if supplied, your phone number. We use this information only to handle your enquiry and communicate with you.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps. In other cases, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
To protect the form from automated misuse, we also process technical security data. This includes a short-lived form session, timing and context signals, and pseudonymised identifiers derived from IP and email data. These data are used only for spam prevention, reliable delivery and error analysis. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Form enquiries are held in encrypted private storage for secure transfer. Technical form, queue and security data are generally deleted after 30 days. We keep subsequent business correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry, maintain a contractual relationship, meet legal retention duties or establish legal claims.
4. Cookies, analytics and external content
The current website does not use analytics or marketing cookies. It uses session-only browser storage for interface settings initiated by you and for internal page navigation. This information remains within the relevant browser tab and is discarded when the session ends.
The website does not load external fonts, maps, videos, social-media widgets or tracking services. A consent banner is therefore not required for the current functionality.
If services requiring consent are added later, we will update this notice and obtain any required consent before loading them.
5. Recipients and international transfers
Personal data is available only to parties that need it for hosting, IT operations or handling your enquiry. No transfer outside the European Economic Area is intended for the website as currently implemented.
6. Encryption
The website is intended to be provided exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. Encryption protects transmission between your browser and the server, although no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
To exercise your rights, email info@gutfood.be. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. For GutFood in Belgium, this includes the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.
8. Automated decision-making
This website does not use automated decision-making, including profiling.
